Population Growth And Control - Essay

INTRODUCTION:
     Population refers to the total number of people living in a specific area or country the Global population has been increase in rapidly in recent decades and projected to reach around 9 billion by 2050. The population growth rate varies by country and region, with the some area experience in higher rates of growth than others. Population growth can have a significant impact on resources, environment and economy of a country.

IMPACT ON ECONOMY:
     The increasing population also has an impact on the economy. As the population grows, so does the demand for housing, infrastructure and services such as health care and education. This can lead to issues such as housing and infrastructure problems, as well as strain on healthcare and education systems. Additionally, the increasing population can also put pressure on employment and job market.

CAUSES OF POPULATION
i. Litracy and unawareness:
     In India around 36% is Nails and 61% females are literate. Neither do they have full knowledge about family planning not do they know about the consequence of Executive child birth. This is one of the reason for missing and rising population.

ii. Poverty:
     Due to poverty, the population of the poor family has increased in our country. People live in slums user childrens are tool to earn money hence they always try to increase the number of children's in their family.

iii. Birth rate:
     In India the average age for marriage is very low compared to the other nation of the world. This is also a reason for population explosion.

iv. Death rate: 
     In India the rate from the year 1900 to 1910 around 35 to 50 persons per thousand which is now reduced to only 7 to 8 persons per thousand. This has become possible in our country by available good and hygienic food, few drinking water, facilities of hospitals, better sanitation, medical facilities at the affordable rates and control over malnutrition, phenomenia, Cholera, epidemics, etc. Along with the child death rate has reduced to 69 per thousand, compared to around to 18000 in the year from 1916 to 1920.

EFFECTS OF POPULATION GROWTH:
     Population growth in India has become a significant challenge impacting multiple sectors of society. Economically, it contributes to high unemployment rates, increased poverty levels, and slower per capita income growth. The excessive pressure on natural resources such as land, water, and energy has led to widespread environmental degradation. Urban infrastructure is under severe strain, resulting in overcrowded cities, housing shortages, and inadequate sanitation. Public services, particularly in healthcare and education, are overwhelmed, affecting the quality and accessibility of essential facilities.

POSSIBILITIES TO CONTROL:
     Promoting education, especially for women, helps in better family planning. Increasing awareness and access to contraceptives and health services.Educated and employed women make informed decisions about childbirth. Economic growth and employment reduce the need for large families. Balanced growth reduces stress on cities and improves living standards. Government support through effective laws and incentives is essential.

CONCLUSION:
     In conclusion India's population is a source of both strengthen and weakness. On the one hand, the large number of people living in India gives the country a significant competitive advantage in terms of labour and market size. On the other hand, India's population also presents a number of challenges, including overcrowding, poverty, and environmental degradation. The key to managing India's population effectively will be to find a balance these two extremes.
